This client was in the midst of a full renovation and extension of her 4-bedroom Edwardian villa when she was looking for a bespoke bathroom vanity for her new family bathroom.
We helped her source this Edwardian cupboard off Ebay and then got to work bringing her vision to life.
The decoupaged flamingo motif is a nod to her shower's large flamingo panel, 'American Flamingo' by John James Audubon. We had a copy professionally printed and fit to size, so it fit seamlessly.
To prep the piece, I cut out the back to allow for plumbing, applied filler in places, sanded to a smooth finish and primed with Blockade. The outside was painted in Fusion Mineral Paint's 'Damask' with the inside painted in Farrow and Ball's 'Arsenic' to match her bathroom wall paint. Every inch was protected and sealed with Polyvine's Decorators Varnish, and has held up brilliantly years later!
